The restaurant is a wonderful combination of ambiance, decor, flavourful dishes and tasty cocktails. The food is inventive with a modern interpretation of South East Asian flavours. Service is very professional and attentive. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Came in for drinks and had a lovely time. Our bartender was amazing, very helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a wide variety of cocktails and drinks available. There's a section on the menu for zero proof cocktails, which was amazing to see. We were too late to order food, but heard great recommendations about the menu, so we'll definitely be back. The decor is , the bar doesn't feel impersonal, and the stools are very comfortable. A great spot in the heart of downtown!
Had the opportunity to try the Hummingbird Fixed course menu for our anniversary and we were blown away! From the first step into the restaurant, Jake made us feel like guests of honor without imposing. He has truly mastered the art of being present without being overbearing and beyond that, offered a lot of meaningful info as well as a calming vibe. The food... THE FOOD! Each of the 4 courses was an incredible adventure. Perfectly timed, and each telling a very different story. My partner and I ordered differently for most of the courses and sharing bites was like taking a peak at a completely different celebration of flavour. Each of the dishes was obviously created from the ground up and the taste made way only to the presentation. We also had the opportunity to be the bartender's guinea pigs for a new drink. It was so apparent that this is someone who loves what they do for the right reason. Every drink was phenomenal and the experimental cocktail was a warm and smoky mix of fine tequilas that made me wish it was on the menu so I could order another. Literally to die for food. We had the fixed price course menu and literally every piece of it was better than I expected. Presentation, flavour, timing, everything. The loloan Bali cocktail I got was beautiful and probably the best cocktail I've ever ordered. The place is gorgeous and feels like you're at a fancy hotel in the 40's. They were even playing old jazz music which I loved. The server/host, Jake, was amazing and made us feel so special for our anniversary. Pricey but WORTH IT. Will be coming here again FOR SURE.

This is a top restaurant experience! That’s it. Service, staff, all the food and fantastic cocktails are a must try. Even if it takes you a bit to get there. Loloan in Waterloo is a hidden gem.
Went here for our anniversary dinner and it was superb. Food was top notch and provided a very unique flavour profile. The drinks were also great and the mixologists that were helping us with our cocktails were solid. The only thing to note is finding parking was a tad difficult, but not the worst.
